The Paris Township Board of Trustees met with Mr. Joe Bodnar in June to receive an update on the Paris School building. Mr. Bodnar received a variance from the Board of Zoning Appeals in 2004 to renovate the structure, but work has been slower than expected due to the economy. We took a tour of the building to see what has taken place up to this point and Mr. Bodnar also provided us an update as to what work he intends to complete during the next 12 months.

The Michael J Kirwan Dam was closed for construction reasons in May, but it is now temporarily open for pedestrian traffic. We do not know how long the temporary opening will last as the construction work is not fully completed. Enjoy it while you can. |
Hawley Cemetery
Tuesday, 22 June 2010 10:37
Paris Township will begin selling cemetery lots in the newest section of Hawley Cemetery on July 1, 2010. The new section, which will be known as the "South" section, is being opened because there are less than 100 graves available in the existing sections of the cemetery. The South section has approximately 1,000 graves available and is located on the south border of Hawley Cemetery. Prices will remain the same for all sections of the cemetery - which is currently $100 per grave for residents and $450 per grave for non-residents. Anyone interested in purchasing graves should contact Trustee Ralph Graham. Last Updated (Tuesday, 22 June 2010 10:48) |
